hosting 32 bit asp.net web application under 64 bit sharepoint site

Question

I am trying to add web application that contain simple helloworld.aspx page under the 64 bit sharepoint site, but i am getting 500 page could not be display error . I have set 2 different application pool one is 64 bit enabled  that is for sharepoint site and other is 32 bit enabled that is for my simple web application that contains helloworld.aspx. I am using iis7 and 64 bit windows server 2003.

Does this error happen when you enable 64 bit application pool for your web application?
Does this web application work fine in non-SharePoint environment?

You can do some test on other machines with the same configuration and environment to narrow down this issue.
