List items without inheritance with anonymous user

Hi,

I am preparing a Web Content Management project with MOSS 2007. I have got approximately 500 web pages from layouts and master pages and also there are 25 content editor. Each content editor has got his own pages so that others could not edit him page. To do that, i give all my web pages its own security roles (i breakdown the inheritance). So far, there is no problem.

However when i try to access my application with anonymous user (All anonymous user configuration is done for central administration level and list level), I could not see the web page list items with breakdown inheritance permission. There is no problem with upper level inherited list items.

I think it should not be too hard but i could not find the solution on the net or other resources. Is there a way to give list item web pages with breakdown inheritance to anonymous user permission.

One way to resolve this issue is to have Anonymous users be Visitors on the site. Your editors should be contributors using Version Control and Approval to " Only users who can approve items (and the author of the item)" by going to Portal > Documents > Settings > Version Settings > choose the radio button "Only users who can approve items (and the author of the item)" note: it is only lit up when Require content approval for submitted items? is set to yes. Also, you should create minor and major versions. This way drafts will only show up to the owner and approver but not to visitors, they will only see the published items... As for who is editing each page, I would allow anyone that is a contributer to edit the pages, only the approver can publish them, drafts will not be seen by the visitors or anyone else unless they are approved..

In addition, if you add an Approval WF by going to Portal > Documents > Settings > Workflow settings > Add or Change a Workflow > Choosing Approval > Naming The WF > Clicking Start this workflow to approve publishing a major version of an item > Choose next > Enter the Relavent info > and Choose After the workflow is completed: Update the approval status (use this workflow to control content approval)

The method described above will allow users to make make changes to documents or lists, and only the editor and the approver can view the draft, the approver will recieve an email to revie wthe document, and they always reject users who should not be making changes..

Also, as part of the SharePoint Development Kit there is a WF "Confidential Approval WF" that locks down the document and or list item so that only the owner and the approvers can view the approval tasks, and the document or list item....
