Filtering a Custom List Edit Form with a DataView

I'm Trying use a filter a Custom List Edit Form with a Single item View by a Question #. Any help would be great.

Can you give an example of what do u mean example
what do you mean by filtering by #Question ?

Is this an out of the box web part or a custom web part ?
If it is an out of the box you created it using sharepoint designer ?

It's a custom SharePoint Designer Edit List Form....for the Answer and a Custom item form for the Question.
