    Hello,

When I login to the extranet as an external user and get the password reset page - I have yet to be able to successfully reset a password. I have tried all kinds of crazy things.

    What is going on here?

"The new password does not meet password history or complexity requirements. "

    Thanks

    Hello Jordan,

By default ADAM inherits the domains password policy. By the default rules anything such as "asdf~1234" or "Pass@word1" should work just fine.

Try changing the password for a user in the domain and see if a password that works there works for an external user.

This is basic stuff so I am not sure what the heck i was doing wrong. I tried probably 10 times.  Today it worked on the first try. Anyways, thanks for the response!

    hi jrmcdona,

You were probably just trying to use a password which you had used recently

Check your Group Policy settings for minimum password age, it was probably set to 1 day (default), which would explain why it didn't work before but it does now.
