It just needs the Web Front End component (though you can install the complete installation if you want). Also you can't have MOSS farm connect to a WSS only server. Both would need to be MOSS.

b) Also Windows Authentication is used only if you are using Kerberos, otherwise use Trusted Authentication

c) From at remote machine, you should be able to see the content within http://server2/ReportServer, if you can't... something isn't setup properly.

These are areas which I think could cause the above issue.
SharePoint's green status ball of doom...Thu, 02 Jul 2009 17:42:05 Z2009-07-02T17:42:05Zhttp://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/sharepointbi/thread/b6b4f1af-f46f-40f5-8950-e04385b18ff1#092a7b8f-acc0-41f3-888b-e4823dde22bdhttp://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/sharepointbi/thread/b6b4f1af-f46f-40f5-8950-e04385b18ff1#092a7b8f-acc0-41f3-888b-e4823dde22bdMike Walsh MVPhttp://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Profile/en-US/?user=Mike%20Walsh%20MVPConfiguration issue with SharePoint Reporting Services Add-InSSRS questions go to Business Intelligence.
