Problem adding and deleting Global Site Template

Hi All!

I have ran in to a quite strange problem when adding a new Global Site template. I do this by using stsadm and what I did was that I first deleted the already existing template with the same name using stsadm -o deletetemplate. This command completed sucessfully and a IISReset were done. After that I tried to add the new template with stsadm -o addtemplate but then I get a error looking like this:

Web template with file MyTemplateName.stp already exists

I did a stsadm -o enumtemplates and the template I deleted where actually deleted. I only had one other template there.

I tried to delete the template again but it says that the template does not exist.

I then did a test were I changed the name of the stp file to MyTemplateName1.stp then it worked to add the template with stsadm but then when I try to actually create a Site Collection using the template I get the error:

The template you have chosen is invalid or cannot be found.

I have googled this but without sucess. Anyone having an idea? Is it possible to see the globally deployes Site Teamplates in any other way than with enumtemplates?

The second part of the problem was not related to the first one. The problems were that the template used a feature that was not installed in the new environment. The first problem is still unsolved and if anyone has any ideas they would be much appreciated.

I am having the same problem.  I have no templates loaded to the server. 
Each time I try to load the template (even renaming it) I get the "File already exists" error.

Any help would be great!

Has anyone found a solution. I have the same issue

I added a template no problem. I tried to delete that template and was returned a "Count not find the web template xxxxx"

I did an enum and it shows up

I now tried to install another one (different file name same title) and it said that the template already exists

I then tried to upload the new files and with a different title and now I get template.stp already exists.

How do I delete the templates so I can reinstall?
