Answerhow to disable email sending in SharePoint

    Hello everyone,

    I am using SharePoint Server 2007 x64 and Windows Server 2008 x64. I have setup a site with template publishing portal. I have grant anonymous access to all the site.

    When update/check-in an page, an approval notification email needs to be sent in order to complete page publishing approval process. Any settings to skip sending outgoing email for page publishing approval process? Sending email is an excessive step for my department.

    Hi,

    From Central Administration --> Operations --> outgoing  e-mail settings --> Mail Settings

    clear all settings

    Hi Ammar, do you mean if no outgoing email setting, it means no outgoing email will be sent to approvers during page publishing approval workflow -- even if I set in user profile for approver's emails?
