Unable Upload in SharePoint Site

Question

Hi All,

I have a issue in the SharePoint site. I am unable to upload any of the documents in document library or to any list items (Attaching the documents). Hence only upload is not working. But in the event viewer, I could see the follwoing log when ever I upload,

Environment : WSS 3.0

There are no specific errors with respect to upload. When click upload, the page is not loading for more than 5 mins and remains in the same page. 

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Hi,

How big are the files you are trying to upload?  Also, what anti-virus scanner are you using?  There is an error pointing to the Antivirus scanner timing out above.  Could you disable it and test?

Thanks for your note!

I am using a very small text file to upload and using For Front Antivirus security. I have disabled and tested and it is working as expected.

I have found the root cause for the issue.
The MS Fore Front Antivirus is blocking file being uploaded and on checking by disabling and testing, upload is working as expected.
The reason is antivirus is unable to update its virus definitions. On updating the antivirus the upload is working as expected.
