Once you download the kit you can read through the step by step instructions for using the various components. Each Control Adapter also has its own documentation that discusses where, when and in what circumstance you might use it. The kit is intended to provide an accelerator to produce accessible SharePoint Internet and Intranet sites. We have an AKS presentation scheduled for the Microsoft SharePoint User conference next week in Redmond. If you are not planning to attend that event, the presentation will also be presented via LiveMeeting on Monday March 10th. Information about that session is available through the AKS portal at: http://aks.hisoftware.com

I hope this is helpful.

-Dana

Thu, 28 Feb 2008 00:12:48 Z2008-02-28T00:12:48Zhttp://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/sharepointaccessibility/thread/d267004c-9490-49d5-8a10-f94b8943aa5e#5961c956-859a-4d52-8236-07db69e34e1bhttp://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/sharepointaccessibility/thread/d267004c-9490-49d5-8a10-f94b8943aa5e#5961c956-859a-4d52-8236-07db69e34e1bMutazAGhttp://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Profile/en-US/?user=MutazAGWhat is AKS supposed to do?
I downloaded AKS 1.1 from the hitsoftware web site, the "AKS install feature" does not seem to do anything!! the AKS feature that is referenced in the feature activation script does not even exist in the 12 folder!! i was hoping that AKS will use a WSP package to deploy its master pages and other controls rather than a daunting manual process to get the control installed!!!

i have spent mor than 6 hrs so far trying to get my head around the AKS toolkit, everyattempt to get this feature to install has failed, i cannot even find a reference to the feature manifest that i can use to reverse engineer what the feature is supposed to do!!!!!

- mutazMon, 16 Feb 2009 08:01:13 Z2009-02-16T08:01:13Zhttp://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/sharepointaccessibility/thread/d267004c-9490-49d5-8a10-f94b8943aa5e#485f6e20-b353-4497-8fdf-dc30f4f576b7http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/sharepointaccessibility/thread/d267004c-9490-49d5-8a10-f94b8943aa5e#485f6e20-b353-4497-8fdf-dc30f4f576b7Diganta Kumarhttp://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Profile/en-US/?user=Diganta%20KumarWhat is AKS supposed to do?I have issues with AKS installation too.
