Unanswered Size limit on XML files using ftp source

    Hello,

At the moment I am trying to upload xml files of different sizes using the EAI ftp source.
I have tried a few different sizes: 608 KB, 2168 KB and 4679 KB.
The 2 smaller ones are uploaded however the 4679 KB file isn't. The ftp source just keeps trying and gets no where.

Are there any restrictions regarding file size on EAI ftp source?

    Regards,
    Mathias

There were timeouts for uploading schemas in the last EAI release. I had tried some over 4 MB and it would timeout but I would at least get an error. So I would expect that there probably is a timeout you are encountering.

Did you have a copy of the FTP log when you were trying?

    Thanks,

You can also query the tracked data for the bridge to get more information regarding the failures. You can find more details regarding the tracking feature here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windowsazure/hh949804.aspx

    Thanks for the replies.
The tracking information did contain an Error to be more precise a Gateway Timeout, just as Ben Cline predicted.
The ftp log shows that the whole file, the file being 4701209 bytes , was uploaded:
    2012-04-18 06:18:50  56928 DataChannelOpened - - 0 0 0 0
    2012-04-18 06:18:54  56928 DataChannelClosed - - 0 0 4791209 0

Is there any way to work around this problem?

    Thank you all in advance,

    Mathias

    Hi,

We are trying to repro the issue locally.

It would be helpful if you could share the exact tracking information that you got for the Ftpsource.

Also, to what entity are you routing to from the bridge ?
