Why can't we install
Service Bus 1.0 on Windows 7 or Windows 8? If it only requires
SQL Server
and
IIS App Fabric, we should be able to run it - correct?
BizTalk Server runs on Windows 7 and so does the
IIS App Fabric.
If you want developer adoption - you need to support the Service Bus on developer machines. If I'm working disconnected - this forces me to run a local VM for utilizing the on-premise Service Bus. As a developer, we also don't have easy access to a
dedicated server machine for setting up and administrating the Service Bus feature.
