programming nxt sound sensor using microsoft robotics studio

Hi all,

 

I am using microsoft robotics studio to program the lego nxt sound sensor. However i do not know how to start about doing it. I researched on the net but could not find any examples or tutorials on it. Can anyone please help me in this? Your help is much appreciated. Thank you.

The Lego NXT sound sensor acts like any other NXT analog sensor in MSRS.  See here: http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb483027.aspx.  You should start with the basic robot tutorials: http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb466258.aspx

Thanks Ben.

One more thing, the sound sensor just reports an integer which correlates to sound intensity.  A low noise level will return a small number, while loud noises will return a higher number.

You should check out the new LEGO NXT services which we published today.  You can access the new sound sensor easily from the MSRS Visual Programming Language.
