Forum Hyperlinks including trailing periods

Every time I post a link and add a trailing period, the period is added to the hyperlink which of course makes the hyperlink invalid.

I just copied and pasted the above link, typed a period -- which is normal when including the hyperlink in a sentence such as

But of course, this doesn't work because it added my period to the hyperlink which was defintiely not in the hyperlink initially.

Um, a bug is a bug is a bug. If it disrupts my ability to help the community and degrades the quality of my posts because people can't click on my links, then it should be fixed. Adding a period to the end of a sentence is standard thing to do and if the interface doesn't handle this correctly, it should be fixed.
