    I'm running SCCM 2007 SP2 R3 and WES7 SP1 thin clients with Embedded Device Manager 2011 SP1 and I'm having problems with a task sequence that is trying to run a software package.

    The task sequence includes the write filter management steps; disable and restore, before and after the "Install Software Package" task.

    The SCCM client has the hotfixes KB2516850 and KB977384 applied.

    The problem I've encountered is that the task sequence starts, the thin client reboots and the EWF is disabled. The machine is also in the "servicing" mode at this point.

    The problem is that the software package never installs and the machine remains in servicing mode; thus allowing only administrators to logon.

    The SMSTS.LOG file is showing errors similar to those supposedly fixed by KB2516850. I've checked the version of TSCORE.DLL and it seems to be at the hotfix revision level.
