PowerShell 3.0

Question

Has anyone been able to successfully install Windows Management Framework 3.0 (PowerShell 3.0) on Windows Embedded Standard 7?

I’ve tried applying it to my own image as well as an image based on the Application Compatibility template. I’ve tried using .Net Framework 4.0 as well as 4.5. I’ve tried installing it online using wusa as well as offline using dism /add-package. All methods state that they’ve succeeded but version 3.0 is never added to $PSVersionTable. Get-Host also continues to return version 2.0.

The file I've been trying to install is Windows6.1-KB2506143-x86.msu from http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=34595.

Doesn't look like this update is support in WES7. There doesn't seem to be an update in ECE either.

Does anybody know if this is being resolved by MS? It's frustraiting that Verison 3.0 doesn't install as it is required to install the App-V 5.0 client :(

Hi, 

Does anybody have an update for this issue?  Windows6.1-KB2506143-x64 installs fine on WES7 but none of the features (i.e. powershell) seem to be accessible.

Any ideas?
