Installing Microsoft Project Server 2010 (Beta) on Single Server
-
Sunday, March 07, 2010 12:42 AMHi Everyone:
I would like to know if I can install all the following software packages in a Single Server:
1. SQL Server 2008 Developer Edition
2. SharePoint Server 2010 (Beta)
3. Microsoft Project Server 2010 (Beta)
4. Microsoft Project Professional 2010 (Beta)
I would like to test and simulate complete Enterprise Project and Portfolio Management environment using a Single Server. Please let me know if I can do that.
If I could do that, kindly advise what could be systems requirements for this Single Server.
I really appreciate your help and look forward to hearing from you.
With best regards
Naing

Hi,
You certainly can install all of the above on a single box for evaluation and testing purposes.
Check the Project Server TechCenter for guidance on how to do so http://technet.microsoft.com/en-au/library/cc197280(office.14).aspx
Microsoft also provide a demonstration hyper-v image that you can use for evaluation. You can either download it and run it locally or run a hosted version. More information of the demonstration image can be found here http://blogs.msdn.com/chrisfie/archive/2010/02/25/experience-microsoft-project-server-2010-in-your-browser.aspx
Happy evaluating!
Alex.
