问题 What field is used to populate the Resource Availabilty "Assignment Hours"?

    Project Server 2007 WSS

The problem I have is that the hours in this view (from the past) do not match the hours in the Resource Assignment view.

Resource Assignment shows (at least):  Acutal work hours; Baseline Work hours; Work hours... etc

Resource Availability shows:  Capacity; Availability; and "Assignment hours"...  This number does not coorelate to any of the above numbers for completed work (in the past).

Please help me get to the bottom of this?

    Cheers,

    Thomas

    Thomas,

As far as I know, the assignment hours should correlate to the "Work" at assignment level from the project plan.

Assignment hours in the past should correlate to Actual Work.  Assignment hours in the future should correlate to Work.  Keep in mind that the Resource Availability view includes the "Booking type" filter.

    Prasanna & Reid,

Thank you very much for the answers.  I assumed the same fields were being used, but had no direct way to verify the data call...

That said, perhaps I can ask for a little more of you assistance...

What would you do if the "Assignment" hours did not show the actual hours?  What I mean is the actual hours are "committed", and those actual hours show up in the Resource Assignments view from PWA.  Yet, they do not show up in the "Resource Availability" PWA view  during the same time frame?

I am at a loss for the conclusion on how to fix this.

    Thanks again,

    Thomas

    Thomas,

It would be real helpful, if you can post some screen-shots of what you are seeing. May be the actual work got done during a different time than planned?
