Válasz 2007 - Project Proposal with workflow

I've followed the steps spelled out in the TechNet, Work with proposals in Project Server 2007:  http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc197494(office.12).aspx but can't seem to kick off my workflow for Project Proposals.

I have other lists throughout our sites with functional workflows.  However I'm missing something with the Project Proposal Workflow.  When I create a proposal, save and publish, the State field changes to Proposed like it should.  But the workflow dose not kick off and the first person in the Approvers list of the Default Workflow Start Values (set in the Proposal proxy list, Workflow settings) is not notified.  Even more, I do not see the workflow listed the Workflows in Process of the Proposal Proxy List.  What am I missing?

I know I've done this before, but I can't find it in my notes.  Dale, Gary...don't tease me for forgetting.  :)

    Hello Chris,

Did you enable the Project State Field?  It is found the PWA/ "Server Setting" / "Additional Server Settings"

    Hello Michael.

Yes, I made sure the Project State Field was set to Yes prior to starting a Project Proposal (I just re-checked it now though just to be sure) as per the TechNet instructions.  I'm missing something else...

    Thanks,

    Chris

    Hello Chris,

Did you look in SharePoint Central to see if it is enabled?  Or you can go the PWA site and click on "Site Actions", under "Site Features", be sure that "Project Proposal Workflow" is Active.

    Cheers

    Thanks Michael.

Got it!  It was a combination of two things:

    1.     Enabling the corresponding Workflow in the Site Collection Features (in my case the Three State Workflow)

    2.     AND, be sure to have the intended recipient in the Proposal Reviewers Group.

I was missing both options so I was chasing my tail by modifying my workflow or changing permissions.  The advice from you gave did help me focus though, thanks very much.  (Oddly enough it was my working with PWA 2010 proposals today that clued me in to the Group setting I had missed.)

    Many thanks,

    Chris
