Sample Proposal Workflow get Automatically Approved

Question

I'm having trouble getting the Sample Proposal Workflow working as expected, in my installation the Approval is automatically skipped, this is despite having populated the 'Portfolio Manager' group.

"The proposal was automatically approved because the approvers' group has no members"

is there anything else I have to do other than populate the Portfolio Manager group?

Do you have departments set up ? I am pretty sure the workflow will do a dept check and will skip if the dept filter yields no approvers.

Saurabh,

Alexander is correct.  In addition to housing the users in the Portfolio Managers group, be sure that your intended workflow approvers have the same Department value as the Enterprise Project Type being used (in your case, Sample Proposal).

Even if a User or Enterprise Project Type has no department selected, that's considered it's value...no value.  So be sure to match the Department of your approvers, to your workflow Enterprise Project Type they will be using.
