We have completed development of an Imagescanner service object. The Image Scanner has the capability of reading a single image in self-initiated scanning sessions. It works with POS for .NET. As far as I know, this is the first and only POS for .NET native service object available for the ImageScanner device.
-Fully managed code
-Written in C#
-Substantially complies with UPOS (POS for .NET) standards
-plug and play capable.
-Requires POS for .NET 1.12 and compatible hardware.

The page is now available. http://goldcirclesystems.com/Products/ImageScannerSOAK.aspx
I mentioned last year that we were looking into custom service objects for Pinpad devices also. We did research the pinpad service object. After a limited test and several conversations with different manufacturers we have decided to abandon plans for the Pinpad service object. We have determined it is simply too difficult without adequate support from the manufacturers.
We also considered and researched a few other service objects such as RFID, biometric, checkscanner. Our plans are likewise on hold for those due to the efforts involved, and we will concentrate on improving and adding features to the imagescanner service object.
Thanks for the words of support from those who offered it. If anyone has any specific feature requests for the imagescanner service object please feel free to contact us.
