How do I use perfmon to collect data for memory (RAM) and processor usage on Hyper-v virtual machines?
My VMs are running Citrix XenServer on windows server 2008 r2 and I am trying to check on the load before adding more users.
thank you

Hi,
You can set Performance monitor locally on the VM that you want to monitor and use the memory, disk, processor, process, pagefile, etc counters on local VM.

You should run Perfmon on the host Hyper-V machine to understand the load on the hardware, this is available natively in Windows.
If you have a specific VM with performance issues you should compare the host perfmon results with the VM perfmon results.
Take a look here for further guidance on Perfmon analysis: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/1513.the-microsoft-pfe-performance-guide-perfguide-start-here.aspx
