Error - The name ‘Parallel’ does not exist in the current context - Parallel.For, VS2010, beta 2

Question

I installed VS2010 beta 2 ultimate.

I tried to use Paralel.For with c# but I got the message:
"The name ‘Parallel’ does not exist in the current context"

I set the properties of my project and to compile for the .Net 4.0 Framework.
What else I can do resolve the problem?

Make sure to include, at the top of your .cs file:

    using System.Threading;

The .NET 4 Parallel class is in the System.Threading namespace, so you'll need to include that in your namespaces you're using.  If you do that, provided you're targetting .NET 4.0, it should work fine.

Hi Ami and Reed,

As of Beta 2, all of the Task Parallel Library (including the Parallel class) is in the System.Threading.Tasks namespace.

I add the System.Threading.Tasks namespace as Danny was suggested.

Reed, where did you find a link to that page?  This is the one that's linked to from the MSDN docs for Beta 2:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/system.threading.tasks.parallel(VS.100).aspx
It looks like the one you posted is some kind of holdover from Beta 1.

I just found it searching - I think it was just a search for "Parallel class" in MSDN, or something like that.  Unfortunately, now, every time I search I'm pulling up the current (correct) version.
