Concurrency Runtime and Thread Pool API on Embedded systems

Question

Hi,

I would like to know if code using the Concurrency Runtime and/or the Thread Pool API are compatible with Embedded versions of Windows 7. I am not too familar with Windows Embedded, but have some practical experience with the Concurrency Runtime and the Thread Pool API and I just want to be certain that my code will work fine on those platforms.

Hello,

Do you mean CE (also called Windows Embedded Compact 7)  or Windows Embedded Standard 7  (also called, XPe, the componentized version of Windows 7)?

If you mean CE, then ConcRT is not available - but parts of the threadpool may be available.

If you mean Embedded Standard, then both ConcRT (concurrency runtime) and threadpool should be available.
