Answered Outlook keyboard search delay setting?

With the contact folder sorted as file-as, normally if I type in for example "MCBRIDE", if I type fast enough I get to the first occurrence in sort order of that contact name.

But if I take my time between typing in letters, it brings me to the letter I typed in after a certain delay.  For example on a pause after typing "Mc" then typing in "Br" I get to the first occurrence of "Br" instead.

So I was wondering if there is a setting somewhere that controls the delay for the outlook user somewhere for this at all and whether it's changeable.

Sorry, there's no such setting.  FYI, this forum is for programming questions only.

I thought there could be a setting that is programmatically set possibly.  Oh well I guess that quickly answers my boss' question though he doesn't easily take "no" for an answer.

Well, tell him it's possible.  I'd just have to convince the Outlook team to make this configurable in Outlook 2015 or whatever.  ;-)
