PDA database questions

Question

I am developing a small database for a PDA using VS 2008.
I am using a Data Grid to display the values in the database, one is date and one is currency
I have the following :
TestDataTable(Which contains columns,  Date, Provider, Amount Paid)
Herer are my 2 questions:

1). how do i format the "Amount Paid" column at runtime so when the user views the data it is formatted as currency????

2). I have generated data forms to edit, new and modify the data in the database(Test1.sdf)
I have a save button when the user selects it how do i save the changes made to the data base????????

ANy help would be apprecitated
