Do I need a patent license to use the Open Specifications?

The Open Specifications may be accessed without charge and without restriction on MSDN.  Many of the specifications, however, include patented inventions.  Some of those patents are available at no charge under the Open Specification Promise or the Community Promise.  The remaining patents are available through various licensing programs.  To learn more please visit the Open Specifications website or contact the Open Specifications Team.
