Unable to add selected webpart in .wsp format

Question

Hmm.. I have a webpart that i have successfully deployed.. But when it appears on the pop up box that allows us to select the webparts that we want to add..
Normally it appears as the webpart's name.. but for this webpart I'm trying to add.. it appears as [webpart's name].wsp ... And it comes out an error saying that only .webpart or .dwp extensions can be added..

Is there a way to convert?
