Microsoft Access Default Save Location...Missing Folder?!?! Please help!

Question

So I go to school at Binghamton University and the University uses Microsoft Access to publish blank documents such as projects and assignments. You use microsoft access to open these programs and I had just did such a thing. I was clicking CTRL-S to save the document but it never prompted me to re-write a name for the document so I assumed it was saving to a default folder.
I have searched my computer for what I thought the document name was but the problem is since it was opened fromt he internet it had some strange *$& symbols in front of the name.
Please let me know if there is a default location for this program to save or if you know anything I don't please let me know as soon as possible. My E mail is [e-mail] or just post THANK YOU ALL!!!

In the latest version of Microsoft Access (version 2007), the default save location is underneath the application options specific for Microsoft Access.

1.    Click the Microsoft Office Button, and then click Access Options.

2.    Click Popular.

3.     Under Creating databases, in the Default database folder box, type the path of the folder where you want to store Access database files.

Your University may have a policy that is changing this default save location. Therefore, the default save location will differ from installation to installation. I would recommend that you contact your University I.T. Department for further information.
