How to create or modify IPM.Microsoft.FolderDesign.NamedView using mapi?

Hi, I need to create a folder view for outlook using mapi. I am pretty new to mapi. I am looking for a sample on how to start this.

I got some documentation and samples regarding formservers. But there is nothing mentioned regarding the views.
I would be very much thankful, if someone points in that direction.

Can we create a view of our own (to have images etc in view ) just like a form design or it should be one of the view types provided in outlook object model only (table, card etc)
