You apparently are using some proprietary download manager. No matter what network I use,
it degrades the throughput to 5 kb per second or even 1 kb per second. The "Professional Beta 1"
file is so huge that I can get only a small fraction of it over several hours of "downloading". I have
tried the AT&T network, the T-Mobile network, and the Skywave network. While your download
manager is running at degraded rate, I can download other software via Mozilla Firefox at the
    regular rate.

I think you've hit a problem related to the proxy configuration on your machine (from the slim details I have available thisminute, probably set to autodiscover rather than a specific proxy).  We found it just as Beta 1 was being released. I don't have the details, but I'm told Aaronru is preparing a blog on this issue with the workaround.

    Hi Eddy,

Sorry that you're having some issues.  Can you provide the link to the download page that you are using to download your Visual Studio Professional Beta1?

    Thanks!
