- Anybody???? I really need to install this!
- I'd like to take a look at the install logs to narrow down the issue. Could you collect your .Netfx4 setup logs following the instructions at http://blogs.msdn.com/heaths/pages/collect.aspx and post them somewhere we can access? (you can use skydrive.live.com to post the logs). I'd be happy to take a look to see what has happened.
Thanks,
~Merrie - Thanks ALOT!! Here is my skydrive folder: http://cid-21e52f01a6126da8.skydrive.live.com/browse.aspx/VS%20LogsThere are the logs! Thanks for all the help!
- Thanks for the logs! We are taking a look at them to determine what the problem might be. At first glance it appears to be a network access issue. The Framework package extracts to your F:\ drive - is this by chance a mapped network drive or some other drive where access may be sporadic? I will follow up with any additional information our investigation turns up.
MSI (s) (08:C0) [22:20:29:875]: Product: Microsoft .NET Framework 4 Extended Beta 1 -- Error 1606. Could not access network location :.
Thanks,
~Merrie - No the F:\ is just another partition on my computer, I accidentally installed Windows XP on only half of my 18 gb hard drive so I HAD to use another partition for storage! So no its not on a network....
Refer to the steps @ http://support.microsoft.com/kb/886549.
If this works for you, please do let me know!
Thanks,
Varun- Unfortunately, No it didn't.....
- Sorry to hear that! If you would be so kind as to re-collect your logs we will be happy to take a look at the latest ones to see if something else could be the issue.
Thanks,
~Merrie - You know what? I think I will just format my computer, I wanted to try out Windows 7 anyways! I will tell you guys if it worked OK?
- Enjoy Windows 7 - you will enjoy the upgrade! Let us know if there's anything we can do to help with the .NET Framework Beta2 install once you are ready to install it.
Thanks,
~Merrie
