So I am trying to install the .netframework 4, and getting an extaction file error. When I go to install the program, it states:
Extracting Files:
There is not enough disk space on your drive for the new files to be uncompressed and installed. Please run this application again after you have freed some space on your drive.
I have more than 200 GBs free on my C drive.

Hi BrandonBartholomew,
When Extracting Files is displayed which Drive Letter is Displayed. i think it is not extracted in "C" Drive.
Check Drive Letter in Extracting Window and may be there is not enough space available.
did you try to Setup "Run As Administrator" ?
Regards,
Gautam

What is your Windows version and Service Pack level?
If you have XP, you must have SP3 installed. If you have Vista, you must have at least SP1 installed (SP2 preferred).
You can try downloading the standalone installer:
http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&id=17718
Then extract the content yourself. Once you have the content in a folder, run setup.exe /x86 if you have 32 bit Windows, or setup.exe /x64 if you have 64 bit Windows.

Hi BrandonBartholomew,
Welcome to the MSDN forum.
Please try MVP’s suggestions first. If the problem still exists after these steps, could you please collect the fresh logs for me?
- Download and run the Log Collection Tool: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=e0da314f-6216-4a18-bc6b-7d29cf83af20&displaylang=en
- Upload the vslogs.cab file located in %temp% folder to an open website like Windows Live SkyDrive or send it to me (E-mail: v-alsun_at_microsoft_dot_com).
Note: Please attach the link of this post in the mail.
If you have any other problems, please feel free to let me know.
Best Regards,
