Microsoft .NET-keretrendszer 3.0: x86 Language Pack (KB928416). My error code: 0x13EC

Question

Hello!
First: My english isn't good. (Sorry)
Second: I'm writting from Hungary.
Third: My computer: Win Xp (2002 version) Sp3 32 bit. I reinstalled the Windows Xp into my computer before about 1 week. (Xp is in new particion.)
Fourth: When I updated my Xp by Microsoft Update homepage my Xp can't update this softwer: Microsoft .NET-keretrendszer 3.0: x86 Language Pack (KB928416). My error code: 0x13EC
This is my (in hungarian language -because  I don't know how can say it in english language) "eseménynaplóm":

Hi there.

I can see this issue has been on hold for a while, but now I try my luck anyway....

I have the same problem as above, when trying to install the above mentioned update (KB928416, language pack).

My father just got a clean pc back from his old workplace, and now I have been helping with updates. This update is actually the the last one missing, but we get an error message:

Error code 0x13EC, and this update won't install.

Any good advise ?

...what worked for me on XP:

1. Disable automatic updates !!!

2. Go to AddRemove programs -> select show updates-> uninstall all with references to .NET version 3.0 and 3.5. Reboot PC.

3. Download and install .NET 3.0 SP1 (NOT SP2!!! nor 3.5 - IT MUST BE EXACTLY 3.0 SP1!!!!).

4. Go to windowsupdate and install ONLY update (KB928416, language pack).

5. Go to windowsupdate and install remaining updates

6. Reenable automatic updates.
