I cannot install .net 3.51 sp1 ( full package) on a windows 2008 web edition (.net 3.0 preinstalled) on highest patchlevel...
I get following errors:
Description: Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 has encountered a problem during setup. Setup did not complete correctly.

The Error log shows me this:
[02/16/09,13:15:51] Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0SP1 (x64) (CBS): [2] Error: Installation failed for component Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0SP1 (x64) (CBS). Although when I verify my repository with winmgtm /verifyrepository I get "is consistent" back....
We have like a dozen servers with the same HW and software setting and they dont get that problem, like only 2 out of 10 and we dont know what is different from the others :)
I also gave the Network User Read access on C:\ (heard it as a solution on a diff. forum) but that did not worked.
Thanks. Please remember to mark the replies as answers if they help and unmark them if they provide no help.
