Question on reinstall of .NET 3.5 with SP1 and application security within framework

Question

In trying to work our a separate problem than this one, I reinstalled .net framework 3.5.  My application suddenly won't allow me to simulate a button click using an html element invoke of the click event.  I can't absolutely tie it to the reinstall, but was wondering is there something within the framework config itself that would prevent this?  If I go to exact same site in IE8 rather than in my applications webbrowser control, IE8 has no issues.

Problem dissappeared after reinstalling 3.5 SP1 and rebooting system.
