Let's check your .NET Framework 1.1's health.

Run this tool with 1.1 selected:

    http://blogs.msdn.com/b/astebner/archive/2008/10/13/8999004.aspx

Post the first 15 lines and last 15 lines of tool output here.

    Hi Eric,

Could you please share KB number of that Update and verify .NET with the tool MVP mentioned?

We need the KB number to konw if there are any known issue.

We need to check .NET health to know if this issue is due to .NET or due to Windows Updates.

    Hi Barry

    KB2656353 and KB2656370

Are you sure you posted the last 15 lines of the log?

I see this: "Starting verification for product .NET Framework 1.1 SP1", which is usually followed by at least 10 more lines of output, including the result from a test app.

If need be, please rerun the tool with 1.1 selected, then post the last 15 lines of the log here.

    Hi Eric,

You have posted another post of the same issue so I delete it.

Please post the last 15 line of your verification result. We need them to check .NET status.

I see this "Cannot find end ". Could you please open the verification log to find out the last 15 line of the result?

The log can be opened by click the log button.

Additionally, if .NET 1.1 verifies successfully. You should post your question to http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_xp-windows_update

You can get better help there.

BTW, you should also provide error info when installing those updates.

For example, I listed some related threads below:

    http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_xp-windows_update/cannot-install-kb2656353-net-framework-error-0x652/4a022284-8b60-404c-afb7-b42853ac9a69
