In one of your other forums I was told to install the x64 Microsoft Access Database Engine 2010 Redistributable to run the 64 bit engine to run the ACE OLEDB because my system has the the 32 bit ACE OleDb version is installed.  But I am running into problems the other moderator has no knowledge.
During install, a warning comes up saying that two programs have to be uninstalled, 1.) Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2010 and 2.) Microsoft Office Single Image 2010.  I
was able to uninstall Professional Plus 2010 but could not find Single Image 2010. Went
to Control Panel, uninstall programs and could not find it. Any ideas where to find it and remove it.  Also, visual studio can not be used to connect to Access database.  I need help. Deadline looming.

If you build your project with Platform target set to x86, you can use the 32 bit ACE or JET driver. I have a code sample that runs fine on Windows 7 64-bit and uses 32-bit JET OleDb. Apps run about the same speed in x86 as x64. The only limitation is your process can only use up to 2 GB of memory.

That still does not answer my original question.  I can not do anything until the install of the 64bit is complete.  When I eliminated the Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2010,  my programs no longer connect to the database so I am at a stand still.  I still can not find the other program to uninstall in order to continue with the x64 install.  Deadline looming.  Help....

Your question does not pertain to the ".NET Base Class Library", but here is a link that might help.

    Hi Ojay,

    Welcome to the MSDN Forum.

After you uninstall the office professional plus 2010, did you install the 64bit office again, especially, include Access? If not, you need to install it. If you never install the Office Image 2010, just ignore it.

And then you need to try to install the 64bit Access databse engine.

I hope this will be helpful.

    Best regards,

I could not because it was still telling me to uninstall Office Image 2010.  I could not find

Office Image 2010 to uninstall.   So I am dead in the water.   Also, I need office to make

my Access files which this install turned my registered Office to a expired Trail version.

For now I reinstalled Office so I could use everything else.

So is there a x64 bit version of the database engine that does not vipe out everything else.
