Locked Multimap has not been configured to run on this URL

I know that this question has been asked in June 2009 (and the advice was to check the API key and then contact support).

I am having exactly the same problem and wondered whether, a year or so on, if there is any "public" answer to this issue.

I have contacted support but not sure how long it will take to get a response.

    Thx

    Hi Doug,

When signing up for the Open API, a URL where the Open API will be used is specified, the implementation must be used on the URL specified and you may receive this message if it is used on another URL.

You can update the URL of your existing Open API key, log into your MyMultimap account, in the top right hand corner click on "My Account", under "Your Open API details" there is a line with "Your registered URL(s) is/are", click on the word "update" highlighted in Blue.

    Hope this helps.

    John.

That is very useful - thank you so much.

Just a quick follow up. If I want to experiment locally (i.e. save the HTML to disc - not uploading to a server just yet), to save time, how can I sepcify this as a domain.

That is, the URL would be something like

    file:///D:/My%20Documents/Web%20Sites/geocode-mm-forum.html

    Is that possible?

    Thanks again.

    Hi Doug,

It should be default locally, the Open API configuration is set to accept "file:" as a URL.

When resetting the URL try using " file:", followed by comma (,) then the live website URL.

    For example " file:, http://www.mywebsite.com "

    Hope that helps,

    Thanks, John.
