Checking file CRC
Checking file CRC
- Hi,
I don't know if this is the right place, but here it goes.
When I'm trying to use ELMS downloader, for downloading let's say System Center Configuration Manager from MSDN, there are 4 steps:
Steps
1. Authorization
2. Downloading
3. Unpacking
4. Launch Install
Mine, blocks on the 3th step, Unpacking! This does not happen with every product, but it does happen with quite a few.
It starts the CRC Check, and it stays on the beginning.. 1% "Checking file CRC"
Worst part, is that it does not give me an error, it just stays there.
Can anyone help me?
Thank you so much

- Hi nmdias!
I had the same problem. The path to the *.sdc file was too long :-) I copied the downloader and *.sdc files to another location and started the *.exe again, changed the path to the new location and it worked fine!
Hope this is working for you too.- Marked As Answer bynmdias Friday, September 18, 2009 12:20 AM

- For some reason, I had to download some of the software again (resuming after changing the location wasn't enough). But your solution was really helpfull. The path was indeed too long!
Thank you very much! - I'm having the same problem with Microsoft Visio 2007, but even after shortening the folder path to the shortest thing I could come up with (C:\A), the CRC problem persists. I think the sdc file name itself might be too long ("en_office_visio_professional_2007_cd_X12-19212.sdc"), but after renaming it and re-running the download program it just created a new sdc with the long name. Is there any way to make the unpacker target the renamed file, or is there any other fix? Any help is greatly appreciated.
- I have the same problem as ahdu. Could somebody help?
- i am pritty much sure, your downloaded sdc file is corruptedi also had the same problem, and i downloaded a new copy and the unpacking worked without failing, but try to download it from a different server. Not the same file
- I'm havig the same problem as ahdu and Kokrhell. It's the same file, 3 times. It's weird. Can somebody help?
