The session recording is now available on Channel 9.
There were a few items that we promised to follow up on, and here are the results:
- There was a question about the maximum story size. The size is limited to about 7500 to 8000 bytes, depending on how much meta data is included in the story.
- There was a failure in the sharing demo during the presentation. We investigated the issue and determined it was a problem in the beta client that we are planning on fixing. Sorry for the demo disturbance that this created.
- Here is compatibility information with Lync Server 2013 Preview Persistent Chat API. This information is subject to change in the final release.
Microsoft Lync Server 2013 Preview Persistent Chat API applications should be targeted against Microsoft Lync Server 2013 Preview. Similarly, Microsoft Lync Server 2010 Group Chat API applications should be targeted against Microsoft Lync Server 2010, and Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 R2 Group Chat API applications should be targeted against Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 R2. In a mixed deployment environment where Lync Server 2013 Preview coexists with Lync Server 2010 or Office Communications Server 2007 R2, and a Lync Server 2013 Preview Persistent Chat API or Group Chat API application interoperates with different versions of the servers, compatibility issues might appear. The following table lists the potential application compatibility issues.
Application authored using an API version
Target server version: Lync Server 2013 Preview
Target server version: Lync Server 2010
Target server version: Office Communications Server 2007 R2
