when you build just a tool tabed browsing is ok, but often you like to compare data between 2 screens. Overlapping screens often become a requirement.
how can I do Overlapping screens?

You will need a LightSwitch shell that provides an MDI-style UI probably. Are you imagining having the 'old' tile and cascade window options too?
Another option would be detachable tabs for the screens. Again you would need a custom shell.
If you do not need a generic solution but have a specific entity to provide the functionality for, then you ought to be able to layout a LightSwitch screen with data from two queries. And a custom control can display whatever you want to within the limits of Silverlight.

Hey Henry,
the shell that comes with the Infragistics suite for VS LightSwitch has the ability to have 1, 2 or 4 screens open next to eachother (http://help.infragistics.com/Help/NetAdvantage/LightSwitch/2012.1/CLR4.0/html/Getting_Started_Overview_of_Infragistics_Shell.html)
The entire suite is $299.00 (http://store.infragistics.com/Default.aspx?Category=NetAdvantage+for+LightSwitch).
Please note, I'm not associated with Infragristics in any way, but I do think they're good bang for the buck when it comes to their LightSwitch suite!
Keep rocking LS!
