installed extension does not show up in the <applicationDesigner>

Question

I installed an extension it does not show up in the designer.

VS2010 SP1, Vs2010 SDK  are all installed that includes LS Beta 2

What extension did you install? If it's one that you wrote, can you verify that the Id of your VSIX package is the same name of the module that you provided? Did you add the lspkg file from your extension to the VSIX manifest as a type of CustomExtension named LightSwitchPackage?

There are plenty of things that could be wrong, so you'll have to provide more context of what you have done.
