PC Programs and Files Missing in Windows 8 Preview

Sir,

When I install Windows 8 Release from Windows 8 Preview, I lost all of the programs and files on my PC.  Very valuable files. How can I retrieve them or restore my computer to an earlier date under Windows 8 Preview?

Same thing happened to me, yet i used the option "Save both my files and settings", Stupid windows, i put all my faith in it, and didnt make any copy of the very important data i had on it !!
