Right now on the Live Services SDK documentation on the MSDN library, it lists Live Services User Data, but then that expands only to Contacts, Photos, and Application Based Storage.

It seems like there are a lot of other Live offerings with APIs provided, but there's a big gap when it comes to SkyDrive. Are there any plans to develop a fully featured SkyDrive API?

Thanks for your interest in SkyDrive API. SkyDrive currently does not have API. I don't have any other information available at this point of time related to SkyDrive API and its plans. We will respond back once we have more information in this context.

    Nick,
I posted some ideas here: http://jamiethomson.spaces.live.com/blog/cns!550F681DAD532637!5009.entry about what will happen re: a Skydrive API. This is complete conjecture tho!!

I want to directly upload files to my skydirve account , by right clicking on the file or folder and choose sent to skydirve and it's uploaded.
As this tool don't exist yet , I started searching for sdk , or the api to do it but I couldn't find it.
I would be thankful if you can inform me when skydrive team is going to publish such an api , or such a tool.

    Best Regards.

Check CodePlex, there is a new project named SkyDrive .Net API at http://skydriveapiclient.codeplex.com/.

Perhaps this is what you're looking for?!

This project exist on CP for some time, but this is not an official API and its idea is to parse HTML pages of SkyDrive, which suits well if you need an immediate solution and can take a risk that Microsoft will change layout of SkyDrive pages in one night, breaking this library partially or completely. The final choice is yours :)

Count me in also.  I want to write an interface into our commercial application that would allow our user to save to their skydrive and backup to it and restore from it.
