old e-mails removed

Question

My Inbox in my hotmail account still has a list of all my old e-mails. However when I try to click on them it says they have been moved or deleted. I am quite sure my account has not been hacked because all the e-mails are still in my inbox, not my deleted section. If anybody knows what is going on or a way to retrieve my older documents i would greatly appreciate the help.
