About touch wall question

Hi, all,

I just implement application which will detect users touch wall or not? I find kinect is inaccurate to report my finger position(x, y, deptch) when my finger is close to the wall. Ex: Kinect should detect my hand, but it actually detecst my elbow or others. Dose anyone have the same question and tell me how to let Kinect accurately.

After testing, is it possible that Kinect is like detecting user as part of the wall? Because the user is too near the wall. I also find light will affect Kinect detection. If there is another light on the body in a bright space, Kinect also show this problem. Can anyone explain this problem? Thanks.
