"Activex Control responding slow"

Question

Hello,

          We are using a third party vendor activex control and these are used in almost 200 laptops. So, some of the laptops are responding very slow. We have tested with 4laptops which has same configuration of same hardware and software.

Software:
1. Windows xp service pack 3
2. Microsoft office word 2000 service pack 3
etc..!

Hardware:
cpu  1.7 ghz
Ram: 1 GB RM. etc...!

Each laptop is behaving differently. two of the laptops responds two fast (in 5 sec's) and other two responds almost after 55 secs.

So, could you please suggest me somthing on it.
