Keyboard Issue with IE 10

Unanswered Keyboard Issue with IE 10

    The numeric/special character keys do not work with IE 10. I have no problems at all with other applications such as word et al. Is there a fix for this? I am using a Sony VAIO laptop, model VPCF115FM with the I7 chip and I am running the RTM version of Windows 8.
