How to move subtitles?

Question

Is there a way to move 'normal' subtitles (subtitles that are in the EVO stream)? In case of a 2.35:1 movie some people prefer the subs to be in the black bars and some prefer to have them in the viewing area. It would be nice to give an option in the menu to choose the location of the subs.

Perhaps somebody else can confirm... but I'm 99% sure you cannot programatically on the fly move a standard subtitle stream.   The solution though is fairly easy...   Positioning for standard subtitles is defined in the stream, so when you prepare the stream for muxing, create two streams with the subs in your two different positions at which time you could programtically on the fly switch between the two streams at the users request.  

probably not the solution you wanted...  but it is a solution.

   Scott is correct there is no way to move around the subtitle.  Two subtitle tracks would be the way to go. Which subtitling software are you using?
