File Thing Type eff-date

    Question

  • I'm developing an application that makes use of JPEG images. I can upload them to HealthVault. However, I would like to be able to retrieve them using eff-date like any other thing type. I could not determine how HealthVault assign value to eff-date.

Below is an xml I got back from a file uploaded on ~December 9th 2013 at 19:57:02.

    <eff-date>2013-12-10T00:56:59.252</eff-date>

Any suggestions on what might eff-date be or if it could be changed?

  • Makes sense. The server is giving you back the same time in UTC (which is now 5 hours ahead of EST).

  • What time zone were you in when you uploaded the file at December 9th 2013 at 19:57:02?
